Cheviot Hills Houses A middle-class residential neighborhood in west Los Angeles, California, Cheviot Hills was named after the range of rolling hills separating England from Scotland. It is situated to the east and west of its main road -- Motor Avenue. Its northern border is Rancho Park and Hillcrest Country Club, followed by Century City, Twentieth Century Fox Studios and Beverly Hills. Its southern border is Manning Ave. and Palms, followed by Culver City and Sony Picture Studios (formerly Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer). It has been home to several celebrities such as Stan Laurel, Buster Keaton, Phil Silvers, Agnes Moorehead, Jack Paar and Lucille Ball.
