Astrophotographic History
Astrophotography was a bug I first became interested in as an elementary school student. The early moon missions from the 1970’s were fuel to the interest, but the dream did not become fulfilled until later.

I started astrophotography at my rural dark backyard in 1997 with a Meade LX200. Since then I have built a roll-off roof observatory and used 2 different homebuilt Newts and two Takahashi telescopes; a Takahashi 130 and a Takahashi BRC 250.  These fine instruments ride on the Astro- Physics 1200 mount.  My work has been mostly film-based with some CCD work; mostly for planetary work. I hope to expand my digital work in the future.
