Chiloe Island stilt homes
These
palafitos or "stilt homes" are a distinctive feature of Chiloe.
The Island is a
relatively large one just south of Puerto Montt, Chile. It is the "gateway" to the Chilean fjords, glaciers and Magellanes. |
