This is Egypt's Valley of the
Kings -- the land of the dead pharaohs,
on the western side of the
Nile
River across from Luxor. Most
of the tombs of the New Kingdom are found
here. Probably the
most famous is the relatively small one of Tutankhamon.
The top of the mountain is shaped like a pyramid. |
